DNA Sequencing Service

Sanger DNA Sequencing

Through Sanger sequencing via capillary electrophoresis of fluorescent-labelled DNA-fragments, read lengths of up to 800bp (typically 500-600bp) are achieved. The longer read lengths through the Sanger method is advantageous over other sequencing methods, especially in sequencing repetitive regions of the genome.

Plasmid Purification/Extraction

Includes culturing in liquid medium, followed by extraction and purification/cleanup using a miniprep.
Sample Submission Guidelines

Limitation: Service available for high copy plasmids only.

PCR Cleanup

Cleanup of crude PCR samples using the enzyme, ExoSAP (Shrimp Alkaline Phosphatase), thereby allowing digestion of unwanted single stranded DNA which can interfere with the sequencing reactions.
Sample Submission Guidelines

Limitation: Service available for high copy plasmids only.

Whenever you look for oligonucleotides, you often notice their pricing structure is based on a “scale” or “starting scale” in “nmol” quantity. This can be quite misleading as this ...
